Refills are one of the simplest, most powerful choices you can make for the planet and your pocket.

While glass feels endlessly recyclable, candle vessels usually aren’t. Once a candle has been burned, the jar is often contaminated with wax residue, fragrance oils, wick tabs, labels, and adhesives.

These mixed materials mean most candle jars can’t be processed through standard household recycling, even when they look clean. As a result, many end up in landfill.
